School Tour Terms and Conditions

Introduction

The below terms govern the use of the website of Just 4 School Tours (“Just 4 Fun”) (“We”) and the Terms and Conditions for booking places on our Courses. Please read these terms and conditions carefully. 

The terms and conditions set out herein apply to all schools and children enrolled in any courses, tours or services of Just 4 Fun School Tours, and by booking any of Just 4 Fun’s provisions, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions and waive any claim contrary to the terms set out herein.

1. Course Information:

  • We reserve the right to make changes to the published program of an Event, to include location and time; however, this does not entitle you to a refund, except for where your statutory rights provide for one.
  • Children’s packed lunches, drinks, any clothing, outdoor clothing, hats, footwear, suncream & medical needs are the responsibility of their teachers.
  • The hours of the tour day are as agreed in your booking confirmation. Just 4 Fun School Tours and its employees are not responsible for children outside of the above hours. Schools will not be taken into the venue before the times allocated. In the event of a late arrival by your school, activities will commence immediately and continue to the original scheduled time with no added on time.
  • Children are not permitted to use mobile phones whilst under the direction of Just 4 Fun. Teachers should notify a member of staff if they are taking photographs of their group while at the venue.
  • We often take photographs at the tour venue for marketing purposes. By attending a tour you are giving us permission to use images in which you or a member of your group may be present. In addition, these images may be shared and stored on third-party platforms.
  • Should you not wish to appear in any of the images, please inform the Just 4 Fun School Tour Office when making your booking.
  • For health and safety reasons, children may be required to remove glasses, shoes, socks, or peaked caps during certain activities.
  • We promote a nut free environment, all food brought to camp by campers, staff, or visitors must be nut- and nut-product-free. While we strive to maintain a nut-free environment, we cannot control all external food brought onto the grounds and cannot guarantee the absence of traces of nuts.

2. Bookings and Payment:

  • All bookings are subject to availability of the venue and date 
  • When making a booking request by phone or email we will provisionally book the date and venue, however, this does not constitute acceptance of said booking. 
  • Bookings are only confirmed once a deposit (non-refundable)  of €150 per class has been received and a confirmation email has been issued by Just 4 Fun
  • Please contact Just 4 Fun with confirmation of your final number of participants by May 1st, after this date 3 non-attendance/cancellations only will be permitted, thereafter non-attendance/cancellations will be charge in full. 
  • All medical conditions must be discussed with office at the time of booking.
  • Payment for the school tour can be either cash or cheque on the day of the school tour. Please note if paying by bank transfer, payment has to be received at least 5 working days in advance of the school tour day (please send bank transfer payments 7 days in advance).
  • Payment for the school tour can be made via:

    I.

    Cash or cheque on the day of the school tour.

    ii.

    Bank transfer with payment to be received at least 5 working days in advance of the school tour day (please send bank transfer payments 7 days in advance).

  • We reserve the right at any time and without prior warning to change the venue of the tour. We also reserve the right in our absolute discretion, to cancel your booking where we need to do so due to circumstances outside of our control (including, but not limited to, situations where sufficient numbers have not booked for the Tour or if conditions of payment as outlined above have not been satisfied).
  • In the event of cancellation, redress shall be offered in the form of an alternative booking. If a refund is given it may occur in an alternative method to that of payment. 

3. Cancellations & Refunds:

  • Under the Consumer Rights Act 2022, a 14-day cooling off period applies, meaning a booking which is cancelled within 14 days from the date of booking is refundable. 
  • However, if the Tour commences during this 14 day period, the booking fee will not be refunded.
  • A minimum of 25 participants is required to qualify for group bookings.  Cancellations or reductions in numbers will not be accepted for group bookings under this threshold. For enquiries regarding smaller groups, please contact our office directly.

4. Liability:

4.1 General Waiver of Liability:

While every reasonable effort is made to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, Just 4 Fun and its employees, volunteers, agents, or subcontractors accept no liability for any injury, illness, loss, damage, or expense that may occur to a child or their personal property during Just 4 Fun, unless arising from gross negligence or wilful misconduct by Just 4 Fun staff.

4.2 Inherent Risks:

Parents/Guardians and Schools acknowledge and accept that participation in outdoor, recreational, and group activities carries inherent risks, including but not limited to physical exertion, uneven terrain, contact with natural elements (e.g., insects, plants), and interactions with other participants. These risks, while minimised through supervision and safety protocols, cannot be entirely eliminated, and are hereby acknowledged.

4.3 Medical Emergencies:

In the event of a medical emergency, first aid may be administered. School attending can provide first aid. Where necessary, staff will arrange for the participant to be taken to a medical facility or treated by emergency services. All reasonable attempts will be made to contact the Parent/Guardian/School. Just 4 Fun is not liable for any medical costs incurred as a result of treatment or emergency care unless due to proven negligence.

4.4 Loss or Damage to Personal Property:

Participants are discouraged from bringing valuables or unnecessary personal items to the Tour. Just 4 Fun is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of any personal belongings, including mobile phones, clothing, jewellery, or other equipment brought to the Tour location.

4.5 Behavioural Incidents:

Just 4 Fun shall not be held liable for any injuries or damages caused by a participant’s failure to follow safety instructions, rules, or staff directions. Should a participant cause injury to another or damage to property through misconduct or negligence, the Parent/Guardian may be held liable for the costs or consequences arising. 

Just 4 Fun reserves the right to potentially remove any individual or school group for behavioural issues, failing to adhere to Course or Tour rules, dangerous conduct, or behavioural issues where such behaviour puts the health and/or safety of fellow participants at risk. Just 4 Fun will not refund a Parent/Guardian or School for the participants’ place in circumstances where such place has been allocated and Just 4 Fun’s costs have been incurred.

4.6 Third-Party Providers:

Where Course activities involve third-party service providers (e.g. external instructors, transportation, venue hire), Just 4 Fun takes reasonable steps to ensure these providers are qualified and insured. However, Just 4 Fun cannot be held liable for actions, omissions, or services provided by third parties unless a direct contractual obligation exists between them and Just 4 Fun.

4.7 Insurance:

Just 4 Fun maintains public liability insurance in accordance with industry standards for the activities provided. This insurance does not extend to personal property, nor does it replace personal accident or medical insurance. Parents/Guardians and Schools are encouraged to ensure their child is adequately covered by their own health or personal accident insurance policies if desired.

4.8 Force Majeure:

Just 4 Fun shall not be liable for any failure to perform, or delay in performance, due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme 

5. Written Communications:

All communications from Just 4 Fun, whether transmitted electronically (including email, website messages, SMS, or other digital platforms) or in writing, are intended to carry the same authority, intent, and legal effect. Information provided electronically is deemed as valid and binding as if provided in hard copy, unless explicitly stated otherwise. 

6. Right of Amendment:

Just 4 Fun reserves the right to amend, update, or vary these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice, where such changes are necessary for operational, legal, or safety reasons. Any significant changes will be communicated to Parents/Guardians via email or posted on our official website. Continued participation in the Tour following any such updates shall constitute acceptance of the revised Terms and Conditions. 

7. Data Protection:

Any information collected by Just 4 Fun will be stored in accordance with Data Protection Laws. See our Data Protection Policy for further details in this regard.

8. Severability:

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. Interpretation of these provisions, as well as any contractual provisions, shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
